The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday (31.03.2023) assigned additional charge of the DGP post to Senior IPS officer RK Vishwakarma (IPS:1988:UP) as the incumbent officiating DGP DS Chauhan (IPS:1987:UP) retired from the service today.
Presently, Mr. Vishwakarma serves as DG, Police Recruitment Board with an additional charge of DG, EOW. He has been given the additional charge of DGP until a permanent appointment is not made for the DGP post.
This announcement comes just two months before Vishwakarma’s retirement in May 2023.
