Ajay Kumar has assumed charge as Director (Operations & Business Development) at Bharat PetroResources Limited (BPRL), Mumbai, with effect from October 28, 2026. He succeeds Krishnakant Joshi, who superannuated on May 31, 2026.
Following Joshi’s retirement, BPRL Managing Director Vikas had been holding the additional charge of the post as an interim arrangement.
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had recommended Kumar for the position after interviewing eight candidates. Following the issuance of his formal appointment order by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Kumar has assumed charge for a five-year tenure.
Prior to his appointment, Kumar was serving as General Manager and Executive Assistant to Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs), ONGC.
