Hyderabad:The Telangana government on Wednesday (October 28, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 12 IAS officers. Several officers have been assigned new postings, while others have been given additional charge of departments and organisations.
Notably, senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan has been reassigned as Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology (EFS&T) Department, amid reports that he may seek voluntary retirement from service (VRS).
The details of the officers and their new assignments are as follows:
- Jayesh Ranjan (IAS:1992:TG), Special Chief Secretary, Metropolitan Area and Urban Development (HMDA Limits), has been transferred and posted as Special Chief Secretary, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology (EFS&T) Department. He has also been placed in full additional charge (FAC) of the post of Director General, EPTRI.
- Vikas Raj (IAS:1992:TG), Special Chief Secretary, Transport, Roads and Buildings Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Chief Secretary to Government, Energy Department.
- A Vani Prasad (IAS:1995:TG), Special Chief Secretary, Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture (YAT&C) Department, has been placed in FAC of the posts of Special Chief Secretary, Sports Department, and Director, Heritage Telangana. She will take over these responsibilities from Jayesh Ranjan.
- Navin Mittal (IAS:1996:TG), Special Chief Secretary, Energy Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Chief Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (PR&RD), Rural Water Supply (RWS) and Rural Sanitation and Allied Departments (RSAD).
- Shailaja Ramaiyer (IAS:1997:TG), Principal Secretary, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology (EFS&T) Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Revenue (Endowments) Department.
- Rahul Bojja (IAS:2000:TG), Principal Secretary, Revenue (DM) Department, has been placed in FAC of the post of Principal Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, relieving Sabyasachi Ghosh from the additional charge. Rahul Bojja will continue to hold FAC of the post of Principal Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department.
- Ilambarthi K. (IAS:2005:TG) has been posted as Secretary, Transport, Roads and Buildings Department, vice Vikas Raj, who has been transferred. He has also been placed in FAC of the post of Commissioner, Transport. Ilambarthi will continue to hold FAC of the post of Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries (AH, DD&F) Department.
- Sarfaraz Ahmad (IAS:2009:TG), Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA, has been placed in FAC of the posts of Secretary, Metropolitan Area and Urban Development (HMDA Limits), and Special Officer for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.
- Shruti Ojha (IAS:2013:TG) has been posted as Special Secretary, Women and Child Development (WCD) and Social Welfare Department.
- Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui (IAS:2014:TG), Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited, has been transferred and posted as Director, Health and Family Welfare. He has also been placed in FAC of the post of Director, Institute of Health and Family Welfare. Faruqui will also hold FAC of the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited.
- Dr. S Sangeetha Satyanarayana (IAS:2015:TG), Director, Health and Family Welfare with FAC of Director, Institute of Health and Family Welfare, has been posted as Director, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department.
- Jitesh V Patil (IAS:2016:TG), Chairman and Managing Director of TGSPDCL, has been placed in FAC of the post of Vice Chairman and Managing Director, TGREDCO.
