New Delhi: IRS officer Davinder Chodha (IRS-IT:2015), Deputy Secretary in the Government e Marketplace (GeM) under the Department of Commerce, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre with extended cooling off.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (October 27, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his premature repatriation.
Chodha joined central deputation as Deputy Director in the Sixteenth Finance Commission on March 14, 2024, for a tenure of four years. In September 2025, he was shifted to the post of Deputy Secretary in the Government e Marketplace.
His deputation tenure was scheduled to end on March 14, 2028. However, he is now being repatriated before the completion of his approved tenure, with extended cooling off.
