Jayesh Ranjan applies for VRS

Senior Telangana cadre IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan (IAS:1992:TG) has reportedly applied for voluntary retirement from service, triggering discussions in Telangana’s bureaucratic circles over the possible reasons.

What is intriguing many is that Ranjan, who is scheduled to retire on September 30, 2027, has sought voluntary retirement nearly a year before his scheduled superannuation.

There is speculation in government circles that Ranjan, currently serving as Special Chief Secretary, is dissatisfied with the recognition and respect he receives in administrative decisions, given his seniority. However, the reasons behind his reported decision have not been officially established.
