Gujarat govt transfers 17 IAS officers; new Collectors for Mehsana, Anand and Vav-Tharad

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government on Friday (October 23, 2026) ordered the transfer and posting of 17 IAS officers across the state, changing the collectors of Mehsana, Anand and Vav-Tharad districts and reshuffling several other administrative positions.

The names of the officers and their new postings are as follows:

1. Alok Kumar Pandey (IAS:2006:GJ), Secretary, Tribal Development Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, has been given additional charge of Commissioner of Relief and Ex-officio Secretary, Revenue Department, Gandhinagar.
2. GT Pandya (IAS:2011:GJ), Additional Secretary, Education Department, Gandhinagar, has been transferred and posted as Director of Information, Gandhinagar.
3. Gaurangbhai H Makwana (IAS:2012:GJ), Managing Director, Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (UGVCL), Mehsana, has been given additional charge of Managing Director, iNDEXT-B Gandhinagar.
4. SK Prajapati (IAS-SCS:2012:GJ), Collector, Mehsana, has been transferred as Additional Rural Development Commissioner, Commissionerate of Rural Development, Gandhinagar.
5. Dr Harshit Pruthwiraj Gosavi (IAS:2013:GJ), Additional Secretary (Law & Order), Home Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Mehsana.
6. Praveen Chaudhary (IAS:2014:GJ), Collector, Anand, has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of Industries and Mines Department for appointment as CEO, Special Project (Dholera SIR & Mandal-Bechraji SIR), Gandhinagar.
7. MJ Dave (IAS-SCS:2014:GJ), District Development Officer, Banaskantha-Palanpur, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Vav-Tharad.
8. Utsav Gautam (IAS:2018:GJ), District Development Officer, Kutch-Bhuj, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Anand.
9. CC Kotak (IAS-SCS:2018:GJ), Deputy Director General, Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration, Rural Housing & Rural Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Director, State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Ahmedabad.
10. Ram Niwas Bugalia (IAS:2019:GJ), District Development Officer, Tapi, has been transferred and posted as District Development Officer, Banaskantha – Palanpur.
11. Atirag Chaplot (IAS:2019:GJ), District Development Officer, Valsad, has been transferred and posted as as District Development Officer, Kutch-Bhuj.
12. Sachin Kumar (IAS:2019:GJ), District Development Officer, Chhotaudepur, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to Government (Law & Order), Home Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar.
13. Vandana Meena (IAS:2022:GJ), Project Administrator, Tribal Area Sub Plan, Mahisagar, has been transferred and posted as District Development Officer, Valsad.
14. Rajesh Kumar Mourya (IAS:2022:GJ), Project Administrator, Tribal Area Sub Plan, Songadh, District Tapi, has been transferred and posted as District Development Officer, Amreli.
15. Swapnil Mahadeo Sisle (IAS:2022:GJ), Project Administrator, Tribal Area Sub Plan, Vansada, Navsari, has been transferred and posted as District Development Officer, Tapi.
16. Omkar Rajendra Shinde (IAS:2022:GJ), Project Administrator, Tribal Area Sub Plan, Chhotaudepur, has been transferred and posted as District Development Officer, Chhotaudepur.
17. BN Patel (IAS:2022:GJ), Executive Director, Gujarat Gas Limited, Gandhinagar, has been transferred and placed at the disposal of Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department for appointment as Director General, Sports Authority of Gujarat, Gandhinagar.
