The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended P L S S Chaitanya Prakash for appointment as Director (Power), NLC India Limited. The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on June 9, 2026.
Prakash is currently serving as Executive Director (Operation), Damodar Valley Corporation.
Following the recommendation, his name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.
Notably, the post fell vacant on June 1, 2026 following the superannuation of M Venkatachalam, who had been serving as Director (Power), NLC India Limited since April 26, 2023.
