MHA debars 8 IPS officers from central deputation

The Union Home Ministry has taken stringent actions in accordance with para-17 of the IPS Tenure Policy, leading to the disqualification of eight IPS officers from participating in central deputation, foreign assignments, and overseas consultancies due to their failure to fulfill their previous assignments.

These officers are:

  1. L V Antony Dev Kumar (IPS:1994:UP) did not assume the role of Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF). Consequently, his appointment has been revoked, and he is barred from central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad until May 31, 2026.
  2. Modak Rajesh Dineshrao (IPS:2003:UP) failed to take up the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). As a result, his appointment has been cancelled, and he is prohibited from central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad for a five-year period starting from May 3, 2023.
  3. Rajesh Duggal (IPS:2010:HY) did not join the post of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on deputation. His appointment has been revoked, and he is ineligible for central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad until May 31, 2026.
  4. Rajendar Kumar Meena (IPS:2011:HY) failed to assume the position of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). Consequently, his appointment has been cancelled, and he is barred from central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad for a five-year period starting from June 14, 2023.
  5. Dr. Meenakshi Katyayan (IPS:2014:UP) did not take up the role of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). Her appointment has been revoked, and she is ineligible for central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad for a five-year period starting from April 26, 2023.
  6. Ragasudha R (IPS:2015:MH) failed to assume the position of Assistant Director (SP level) at the SVP National Police Academy (SVPNPA). Her appointment has been cancelled, and she is barred from central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad for a five-year period starting from June 14, 2023.
  7. Atul Vikas Kulkarni (IPS:2015:MH) did not take up the role of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). His appointment has been revoked, and he is ineligible for central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad for a five-year period starting from June 14, 2023.
  8. Gorakh Suresh Bhamare (IPS:2017:MH) did not assume the role of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on deputation. His appointment has been cancelled, and he is barred from central deputation and foreign assignments/consultancies abroad for a five-year period starting from June 14, 2023.
