New Delhi: Senior IPS officer Rajesh Kumar (IPS:1995:AGMUT), Special Director in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent AGMUT cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (November 2, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the Ministry of Home Affairs proposal for his repatriation to his parent cadre with immediate effect.

Rajesh Kumar has been serving in the CRPF since March 2018. He initially joined the force at the Inspector General (IG) level for a tenure of five years. Subsequently, his deputation tenure was extended, and he was elevated to the ranks of Additional Director General (ADG) and Special Director General (Special DG).

In March 2026, his tenure in the CRPF was further extended by one year, up to March 23, 2027. However, he has now been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
