Gujarat govt effects massive bureaucratic reshuffle, transfers 72 IAS officers

The Gujarat government on Wednesday (May 13, 2026) carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle by issuing transfer and posting orders for 72 IAS officers across various departments and districts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. DN Modi (IAS-SCS:2007:GJ), Municipal Commissioner, Jamnagar Municipal Corporation, Jamnagar, has been transferred and posted as Development Commissioner, Gandhinagar.
2. Anand Babulal Patel (IAS:2010:GJ), Collector, Kutch-Bhuj, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Schools, Gandhinagar with additional charge of Commissioner, PM-POSHAN Yojana (Mid-Day-Meal), Gandhinagar and Director, Gujarat Council of Education Research and Training (GCERT).
3. Sujeet Kumar (IAS:2010:GJ), Collector, Ahmedabad, has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad.
4. Ajay Prakash (IAS:2011:GJ), Director, Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), Gandhinagar, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd. (GETCO), Vadodara.
5. Dr Sourabh Zamsingh Pardhi (IAS:2011:GJ), Collector, Surat, has been transferred and posted as Director, Civil Supplies and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to Government, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Department, Gandhinagar.
6. Gaurangbhai H Makwana (IAS:2012:GJ), Collector, Bharuch, has been transferred and posted as Director, Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), Gandhinagar with additional charge of Managing Director, Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd.
