The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday (14.04.2025) appointed senior IPS officers Anjani Kumar (IPS:1990:AP) and Abhilasha Bisht (IPS:1994:AP) to key positions in the state following their formal induction into the Andhra Pradesh cadre.
Anjani Kumar has been posted as Director General, Prisons & Correctional Services, relieving Kumar Vishwajeet (IPS:1994:AP), Principal Secretary, Home Department, from additional charge of the post.
Similarly, Abhilasha Bisht has been appointed as Chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Road Safety Authority. However, her posting will take effect after she returns from child care leave, which she proceeded on shortly after her cadre transfer.
The cadre transfers were carried out after the officers were relieved by the Telangana government in accordance with the directions of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to orders issued by the General Administration Department, Anjani Kumar has been inducted into the Andhra Pradesh cadre with effect from February 24, 2025, and Abhilasha Bisht with effect from February 26, 2025.
