Dr. Rajesh Kumar (IAS:1988:MN) was on Saturday appointed as the new chief secretary of Manipur. J Suresh Babu (IAS:1986:MN) retired as the chief secretary of the state on Friday on his scheduled superannuation from government service. Kumar was the additional chief secretary.
