Delhi: LG orders transfer of 4 IAS officers

The Lt Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena on Tuesday (24.01.2023) ordered the immediate transfer of 4 Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Manish Kumar Gupta (IAS:1991:AGMUT), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Land & Building with additional charges of Additional Chief Secretary, Labour; Additional Chief Secretary, Industries; Nodal Officer for ‘Single Use Plastic’; Nodal Officer of Delhi Government for liaison with Northern Railways Authority regarding the redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station and Nodal Officer to coordinate with various departments of GNCTD for timely grant of NOCs and Clearances required for the project related to the redevelopment of AIIMS, New Delhi.
  2. Sanjay Kumar Jha (IAS:2008:AGMUT), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Special Secretary, Finance.
  3. Arun Mishra (IAS:2010:AGMUT), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, North East District.
  4. Ms. Geetika Sharma (IAS:2012:AGMUT), Deputy Commissioner (North East District) with additional charge of General Manager, DTTDC, has been transferred and posted as General Manager, DTTDC.

Gujarat: Raj Kumar appointed new Chief Secretary

Senior IAS officer Raj Kumar (IAS:1987:GJ), Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat w.e.f. 31.01.2023 as the incumbent CS Pankaj Kumar (IAS:1986:GJ) will be retiring on January 31, 2023. Till then Raj Kumar would officiate as Officer on Special Duty in Chief Secretary’s office.

The state government request led to Raj Kumar’s premature repatriation to his parent cadre in November 2021. At that time he was posted as Union Secretary, Department of Defence Production. There is a long residual service period for Raj Kumar that ends in January 2025. Kumar was sent on central deputation in April 2015 and worked with the Finance, Labour & Employment and Defence departments before being repatriated to his home cadre.

MP: 14 IPS officers promoted to Junior Administrative Grade

The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday promoted 14 IPS officers (2014 batch) to the Junior Administrative Grade (Matrix – 12) from January 1, 2023.

They are;

  1. Nagendra Singh, DIG, Law and Order and Security, Police Headquarters Bhopal.
  2. Pradeep Sharma, Commandant, 14th battalion, Gwalior.
  3. Avijit Kumar Rajan, Commandant, 35th Battalion, Mandla.

Haryana: Jawahar Singh Yadav appointed as OSD to CM

The Haryana government on Tuesday (24.01.2023) appointed Jawahar Singh Yadav as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister from the date he assumes charge.

“His appointment is against a temporary and isolated post, and he will hold it as long as the Chief Minister wants him to continue as the OSD,” read an order issued by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal. It will be Yadav’s second term in CMO.

Punjab: Five IPS officers promoted to DIG rank

The names of the officers are;

Kerala : Major bureaucratic reshuffle effected

The Kerala government on Tuesday (24.01.2023) effected a major reshuffling of the bureaucratic top brass.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Rani George (IAS:1996:KL), Principal Secretary of Cultural Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary of the Social Justice Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department.
  2. Dr. B Ashok (IAS:1998:KL), Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department, will hold the full additional charge of Agricultural Production Commissioner.
  3. Ashok Kumar Singh (IAS:1999:KL) has been posted as Secretary, Water Resources Department. He will hold the full additional charges of Coastal Shipping and Inland Navigation Department and Managing Director, Kerala Irrigation Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.
  4. Mini Antony (IAS:2002:KL), Secretary, Co-operation Department, will hold the full additional charge of the Cultural Affairs Department.
  5. Biju K (IAS:2006:KL) has been posted as Secretary, Public Works Department. He will hold the full additional charge of the Ports Department.
  6. Ajit Kumar (IAS:2006:KL) has been posted as Secretary, Labour and Skills Department.
  7. M G Rajamanickam (IAS:2008:KL), Commissioner for Rural Development will hold the full additional charge of Special Secretary, Revenue (Devaswom) Department, in addition to the existing additional charge.
  8. Seeram Sambasiva Rao (IAS:2012:KL), Director, Survey and Land Records Department, has been relieved from the additional charge of Joint Secretary, Public Works Department.
  9. Joshi Mrunmai Shashank (IAS:2013:KL) has been appointed as State Mission Director, National Health Mission with full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala Medical Services Corporation Limited.
  10. Gopalakrishnan K (IAS:2013:KL) has been appointed MD, Vizhinjam International Sea Port Limited.
  11. Subhash T V (IAS:2013:KL) has been appointed Director, Scheduled Castes Development Department.
  12. Dr. Chithra S (IAS:2014:KL) is the new District Collector, Palakkad.
  13. Anju K S (IAS:2017:KL) is posted as Director, Agriculture Development and Farmers’ Welfare Department.
  14. Pranabjyoti Nath (IAS:2005:KL) will replace M Sivasankar (IAS:1995:KL) as Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Dept as he will retire from service on superannuation on January 31

Andhra Pradesh: Two IAS officers shifted, Budithi Rajasekhar is Spl CS, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development

The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday (23.01.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for two IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Budithi Rajasekhar (IAS:1992:AP) is posted as Special Chief Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department.
  2. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi (IAS:1993:AP), Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner of Rythu Bharosa Kendrams and Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Cooperation Department with full additional charge of Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development.

Nidhi Tewari re-designated as Deputy Secretary in PMO

The post of Nidhi Tewari (IFS:2014) as Under Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office has been re-designated as Deputy Secretary. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (24.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the re-designation Ms. Tewari as Deputy Secretary with effect from her date of joining i.e. 06.01.2023.

Aishvarya Singh gets one year extension as Director in PMO

The central deputation tenure of Aishvarya Singh (IAS:2008:SK) as Director in the Prime Minister’s Office has been extended for a period of one year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (24.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved to extend the deputation tenure of Ms. Singh for a period of one year beyond 05.02.2023.

  1. Gurpreet Kaur Deo (IPS:1993:PB) has been posted as Special DGP, Community Affairs Division (CAD) and Women Affairs.
  2. Ishwar Singh (IPS:1993:PB) has been posted Special DGP, Human Resources Development (URD) with additional charge of Special DGP, Welfare.
  3. Jitendra Kumar Jain (IPS:1993:PB) has been posted as Special DGP, PSPCL, Patiala.
  4. Satish Kumar Asthana (IPS:1993:PB) has been posted Special DGP, Policy & Rules.
  5. Shashi Prabha Dwivedi (IPS:1993:PB) has been posted as Special DGP, Railways.
  6. R N Dhoke (IPS:1993:PB) has been posted as Special DGP, Internal Security with additional charge of Enforcement Director, Mining, SAS Nagar.
  7. Virender Kumar (IPS:1993:PB) will continue to remain posted as Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau in the rank of Special DGP.
