Supreme Court Collegium recommends 5 names for elevation to Apex Court

Supreme Court Collegium recommends elevation of four High Court Chief Justices and Senior Advocate V Mohana as judges of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday (May 27, 2026) recommended five names to the Centre for appointment as Judges of the Supreme Court of India.

The recommended names include four serving Chief Justices of High Courts and one Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court.

The Collegium has recommended the elevation of Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court; Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court; Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court; and Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Senior Advocate V Mohana, practising in the Supreme Court of India, has also been recommended for elevation as Judge of the apex court.
