Major reshuffle in Delhi Police; 43 officers transferred, 8 Special CPs and 8 Joint CPs reassigned

The Delhi Government on Tuesday (August 18, 2026) ordered a major reshuffle in Delhi Police involving 43 police officers, including 41 IPS officers and two DANIPS officers, with significant changes at the Special Commissioner of Police (Special CP) and Joint Commissioner of Police (Joint CP) levels.

The order includes the reassignment of eight Special CP-level and eight Joint CP-level officers, besides changes at other senior and field-level positions.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Garima Bhatnagar (IPS:1994:AGMUT), Special CP, EOW, has been given additional charge of MD, DPHCL.
2. Manish Agrawal (IPS:1996:AGMUT), Special CP, Traffic, has been transferred and posted as Special CP, PSD.
3. Ajay Chaudhary (IPS:1996:AGMUT), Special CP, PSD, has been transferred and posted as Special CP, Traffic.
4. David Lalrinsanga (IPS:1995:AGMUT), Special CP, Operations (PCR & Communication) with additional charge of SPUWAC & SPUNER, has been transferred and posted as Special CP, Operations (PCR & Communication) with additional charge of SPUNER.
5. Atul Katiyar (IPS:1997:AGMUT), Special CP, Vigilance, with additional charge of Welfare & Licensing Division, has been transferred and posted as Special CP, Welfare & Legal Division.
6. K Jegadesan (IPS:1998:AGMUT), Special CP, Intelligence Division, with additional charge of MD, DPHCL, has been relieved of the charge of MD, DPHCL.
7. Vivek Kishore (IPS:1999:AGMUT), on transfer from Arunachal Pradesh, has been posted as Special CP, SPUWAC & Licensing.
8. Sindhu Pillai (IPS:2001:AGMUT), on transfer from A&NI, has been posted as Special CP, Vigilance & Perception Management and Media Cell, with additional charge.
9. Veenu Bansal (IPS:2004:AGMUT), Joint CP, Attached to PHQ, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, SPUWAC & SPUNER.
10. Suman Goyal (IPS:2005:AGMUT), Joint CP, HQ, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Western Range.
11. Rajneesh Gupta (IPS:2005:AGMUT), Joint CP, IFSO, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Transport Range.
12. Jatin Narwal (IPS:2006:AGMUT), Joint CP, Western Range, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Special Branch.
13. Milind Mahadeo Dumbere (IPS:2006:AGMUT), Joint CP, Transport Range, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Eastern Range, with effect from September 1, 2026.
14. Deepak Purohit (IPS:2007:AGMUT), Joint CP, New Delhi Range, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, Licensing.
15. Nupur Prasad (IPS:2007:AGMUT), Joint CP, EOW, has been transferred and posted as Joint CP, New Delhi Range.
16. Ajay Krishan Sharma (IPS:2008:AGMUT), on transfer from Goa, has been posted as Joint CP, HQ.
17. Monica Bharadwaj (IPS:2009:AGMUT), Additional CP, IFSO, has been transferred and posted as Additional CP, Crime.
18. A Koan (IPS:2009:AGMUT), on transfer from A&NI, has been posted as Additional CP, HQ Personnel.
