New Delhi: The Delhi government on Thursday (October 8, 2026) ordered a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and posting 22 IAS and 12 DANICS officers with immediate effect.
The order issued by the Services Department includes changes in several key departments, including Social Welfare, Power, Education, Health and Family Welfare, Transport, Planning, MCD, NDMC, PWD and Food Safety. The details of the officers and their new postings are as follows:
IAS Officers
- Bipul Pathak (IAS:1992:AGMUT), Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, SC/ST/OBC and Additional Chief Secretary, WCD, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare, with additional charges of MD (DCHFC), MD (DSFDC), Additional Chief Secretary, SC/ST/OBC, Additional Chief Secretary, WCD, and Financial Commissioner.
- Prashant Goyal (IAS:1993:AGMUT), Additional Chief Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies with additional charge of CMD (DFC), CMD (DSCSC), Additional Chief Secretary (AR) and Additional Chief Secretary, Power, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Power, with additional charges of CMD (DFC), CMD (DSCSC), Additional Chief Secretary (AR) and Additional Chief Secretary (H&FW).
- Navin Kumar Choudhary (IAS:1994:AGMUT), Additional Chief Secretary, I&FC with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, GAD, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, GAD, with additional charges of Additional Chief Secretary, I&FC and Additional Chief Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies.
- Dilraj Kaur (IAS:2000:AGMUT), Principal Secretary, Education with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Higher Education and TTE, MD (DCHFC) and MD (DSFDC), has been posted as Principal Secretary, Education with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Higher Education and TTE, divesting the charge of MD (DCHFC) and MD (DSFDC).
- Niharika Rai (IAS:2005:AGMUT), Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Transport with additional charge of Secretary, Tourism and Chairman (DTC), has been posted as Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Transport with additional charge of Chairman & MD (DTC), divesting the charge of Secretary, Tourism.
- Rupesh Kumar Thakur (IAS:2006:AGMUT), Secretary, H&FW holding additional charge of CEO (DUSIB), has been posted as CEO (DUSIB).
- Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2008:AGMUT), awaiting posting, has been posted as MD (DSIIDC) with additional charge of Secretary (IT) and OSD (Planning) till the superannuation of Yashpal Garg, IAS (AGMUT:2008), and thereafter as Secretary (Planning).
- K. Mahesh (IAS:2008:AGMUT), MD (DKVIB) holding additional charge of Secretary (Art, Culture & Language), has been posted as Secretary (Art, Culture & Language) with additional charge of MD (DKVIB).
- Ajay Kumar Gupta (IAS:2009:AGMUT), Commissioner (Food Safety) holding additional charge of Secretary (Home), has been posted as Commissioner (Food Safety) with additional charges of MD (DTL), Chairman (IPGCL/PPCL), CMD (DPCL) and Chairman (Pension Trust), divesting the charge of Secretary (Home).
