Gautam Ghosh appointed Executive Member of Narmada Control Authority

New Delhi: Gautam Ghosh, Chief Engineer, Central Electricity Authority (CEA), has been appointed as Executive Member, Narmada Control Authority (NCA).

The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), according to an Information note issued on Wednesday(October 7, 2026).

The Narmada Control Authority (NCA) was constituted in 1980 under the Narmada Water Scheme for implementing the decisions and directions of the Narmada Water Disputes Tribunal. It is responsible for matters including the storage, apportionment, regulation and control of Narmada waters, sharing of power benefits from the Sardar Sarovar Project, regulated water releases and rehabilitation-related issues. The NCA is headquartered in Indore.
