IRAS officer Ishaan Sharma (IRAS:2016), who has been recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Railways, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Homes Affairs for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (July 17, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
