New Delhi: Prashant Jeevan Patil (IAS:2011:TG) has been appointed as Deputy Director General (Director level) in the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (July 17, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
A 2011-batch IAS officer of the Telangana cadre, Patil has been appointed to the Directorate General of Shipping, an attached office under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, headquartered in Mumbai.
