Delhi Police: Two IPS officers get new assignments

Delhi LG has approved the transfer of two IPS officers. Parmaditya gets Security (PM) charge, while Nidhin Valsan gets Special Branch.

The Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) on Friday (July 3, 2026) approved the transfer and posting of two IPS officers serving in the Delhi Police.

The officers and their new assignments are as follows:

Parmaditya (IPS:2005:AGMUT), Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Branch), has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (Security-PM). He has also been given the additional charge of Joint Commissioner of Police (Licensing).
Nidhin Valsan (IPS:2012:AGMUT), Additional Commissioner of Police (Tech & PI), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Special Branch.
