New Delhi: Ankit Chauhan (IPS:2013:AGMUT), who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Delhi, for a period of four years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (July 27, 2026), the Competent Authority has approved his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Presently, Chauhan is serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Special Branch, Delhi, since March 2026.
