Tamil Nadu transfers 20 IAS officers in major bureaucratic reshuffle

The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a major reshuffle involving 20 IAS officers, issuing transfer and posting orders across key departments and administrative positions. The development assumes significance as the state’s bureaucratic set-up has been undergoing restructuring since the new government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay assumed office. The latest reshuffle is part of a series of administrative changes and transfer orders issued by the government in recent days.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Sandhya Venugopal Sharma (IAS:1995:TN), Additional Chief Secretary/Chairperson, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department.
2. J Kumaragurubaran (IAS:2004:TN), formerly Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation, has been posted as Secretary, Commercial Taxes, Registration and Religious Endowments Department.
3. Sandeep Nanduri (IAS:2009:TN), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department.
4. G Prakash (IAS:2000:TN), Principal Secretary/formerly Member Secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary/Additional Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Commissionerate of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management.
5. V Shobana (IAS:2003:TN), Commissioner, Stationery and Printing, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Textiles.
6. Shilpa Prabhakar Satish (IAS:2009:TN), Secretary, Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Labour.
7. K Vijayakarthikeyan (IAS:2011:TN), on return from leave, has been posted as Director, Fisheries. He will also function as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation.
8. Mageswari Ravikumar (IAS:2011:TN), Director, Handlooms, has been transferred and posted as Director, Social Welfare.
9. Dr K Senthil Raj (IAS:2012:TN), Managing Director, State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, has been transferred and posted as Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare.
10. D Baskara Pandian (IAS:2014:TN), Project Director, Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II/Chennai Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor Project, has been transferred and posted as Director, Transport and Road Safety.
11. T Charusree (IAS:2014:TN), IAS, on return from leave, has been posted as Director, Treasuries and Accounts.
12. G Ravikumar (IAS:2017:TN), formerly District Collector, Karur District, has been posted as District Collector, Tirupattur District.
13. Asha Ajith (IAS:2015:TN), Chief Operating Officer, Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project and Project Director (FAC), Tamil Nadu Women Employment and Safety Project, has been transferred and posted as Director, Environment and Climate Change.
14. T Christuraj (IAS:2016:TN), formerly Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited, has been posted as Director, Survey and Settlement.
15. Dr D Karthikeyan (IAS:1997:TN), formerly Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation for appointment as Principal Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director.
16. Dr TG Vinay (IAS:2009:TN), formerly Managing Director, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Drainage Board, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation for appointment as Managing Director.
17. Dr S Aneesh Sekhar (IAS:2011:TN), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation, has been placed at the disposal of National Health Mission as Mission Director.
18. RV Shajeevana (IAS:2012:TN), formerly Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Limited, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project for appointment as Chief Operating Officer. She will also hold additional charge of Project Director, Tamil Nadu Women Employment and Safety Project.
19. SA Raman (IAS:2010:TN), Commissioner, Labour, has been placed at the disposal of State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu for appointment as Managing Director.
20. Lalitaditya Neelam (IAS:2019:TN), Additional Commissioner (G), Directorate of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, has been placed at the disposal of Salem Municipal Corporation for appointment as Commissioner.
