After 11 years in UP, Anjaneya Kumar Singh gets OSD posting at Sikkim House

After 11 years on deputation in UP, IAS officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh gets OSD posting at Sikkim House in New Delhi.

Anjaneya Kumar Singh IAS

After spending nearly 11 years on deputation in Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim cadre IAS officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh (IAS:2005) has finally been given a posting in his parent cadre. He has been appointed Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Sikkim House in New Delhi.

His new assignment has drawn attention in administrative circles, as Singh, who was last serving as Moradabad Divisional Commissioner in Uttar Pradesh, has now been posted as OSD at Sikkim House in New Delhi. There is speculation that the OSD assignment could be an interim arrangement, with attention now focused on what posting the Sikkim government has in store for him next.

Notably, after being denied a further extension of his deputation in Uttar Pradesh, Singh handed over charge as Moradabad Divisional Commissioner on August 15, 2026, and proceeded on two months of leave before returning to his parent cadre.

His leave ended on October 15, 2026, following which he reported to the Sikkim government. He has now been assigned his first posting in the cadre after returning from his long deputation in Uttar Pradesh.
