Vitul Kumar appointed officiating DG of CRPF

The central government on Monday (30.12.2024) senior IPS officer Vitul Kumar (IPS:1993:UP) to officiate charge of the post of Director General (DG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The central government on Monday (30.12.2024) senior IPS officer Vitul Kumar (IPS:1993:UP) to officiate charge of the post of Director General (DG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He will replace Anish Dayal Singh (IPS:1988:MN), who is scheduled to retire on December 31. Currently, Kumar is serving as Special Director General of the CRPF.

He will hold the position until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever comes earlier, according to an office memorandum issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In a order, the MHA said, ” The competent authority has approved to assign the officiating charge for the post of DG, CRPF, to Vitul Kumar upon superannuation of Anish Dayal Singh, a 1988 batch Manipur cadre IPS officer, on December 31, 2024 till appointment of a regular incumbent or until further order, whichever is earlier.”
