Amid all the reports of incumbent LIC’s M R Kumar getting an extension, the Modi government again surprised many in the power corridors when it made an interim arrangement by appointing Siddhartha Mohanty, MD and CEO of LIC Housing Finance, as the Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for three months. And it is a clear sign that LIC Chairman M R Kumar won’t get an extension.
Siddhartha Mohanty was appointed as the MD of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), effective February 1, 2021. Siddhartha Mohanty was nominated to serve as the MD of LIC until his superannuation in place of TC Suseel Kumar who was scheduled to retire on January 31, 2021.
