O P Singh appointed as CMD, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited

O P Singh has been appointed as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (20.08.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Coal to appoint Singh to the post with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his retirement i.e. 31.10.2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Prior to this assignment, he was serving as Director (Technical), MCL.
