19 CSS officers promoted to grade-I, appointed as Under Secretaries

New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has promoted 19 officers of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) to Grade-I, corresponding to the post of Under Secretary, and allocated them to various Ministries and Departments.

According to an order issued on September 29, 2026, the President has approved the inclusion of these officers in the 2026 Select List for Grade-I of CSS. The appointments as Under Secretary will take effect from the date the officers assume charge of their respective posts.

The officers have been directed to report to their allotted Ministries or Departments by October 9, 2026.

The officers and their postings are:

1. Mandip Kumar — Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. He will continue in his present Ministry.
2. Praveen Tayal — Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM).
3. Anamika Kumari — Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
4. Sudhir Yadav — His posting will be decided after completion of training.
5. Amit Chaudhary — Department of Health & Family Welfare.
6. Arvind Kumar Singh — Ministry of Home Affairs. He will continue in his present Ministry.
7. Shambhu Kumar — Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
8. Amar Arora — Department of Personnel & Training. He will continue in his present Ministry.
9. Harjeet Singh — Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. He will continue in his present Ministry.
10. Shreyasi Pande — Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
11. Rajnish Yadav — Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
12. Mahashankar Kumar — UPSC. He will continue in his present cadre.
13. Aman Bishnoi — Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. He will continue in his present Ministry.
14. Pawan Kumar Ram — Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
15. Atul Kumar — Department of Financial Services.
16. Gaurav Bhardwaj — His posting will be decided after repatriation from deputation.
17. Monika Singh — Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
18. Ashish Drall — Department of Posts. He will continue in his present Ministry.
19. Sridevi Sridhar — UPSC. She will continue in her present cadre.

The order states that the officers included in the Select List are to be appointed as Under Secretary, with the appointment becoming effective from the date of assumption of charge.
