The Uttar Pradesh government has designated Apoorva Agrawal, an accomplished advocate with over 15 years of legal practice, as the Additional Advocate General to represent and safeguard the state’s interests in the Supreme Court. This appointment, sanctioned by the Governor, empowers Agrawal to assume responsibilities akin to those of the Advocate General, encompassing advisory, legislative, and various other legal duties. Throughout Agrawal’s extensive career, which commenced with enrollment as a lawyer in 2007, they have actively participated in numerous cases in both the Supreme Court and various High Courts. Collaborating with legal stalwarts like Senior Advocates K K Venugopal, Mukul Rohatgi, Harish Salve, and Advocate Kailash Vasdev, Agrawal has garnered a wealth of experience in the legal realm.
