UP govt transfers 9 IPS officers; 7 district police chiefs reassigned

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday (August 20, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for nine IPS officers across the state. Among them, seven officers have been transferred as district police chiefs.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Vineet Jaiswal (IPS:2014), SP, Gonda, has been transferred and posted as SP, Sultanpur.
2. Charu Nigam (IPS:2014), SP, Sultanpur, has been transferred and posted as SP, UP-112, Lucknow.
3. Avinash Pandey (IPS:2015), SSP, Meerut, has been transferred and posted as SP, DGP Office, Lucknow.
4. BBGTS Murthy (IPS:2015), SSP, Jhansi, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Meerut.
5. Abhishek (IPS:2015), SSP, Bijnor, has been transferred and posted as SP, Gonda.
6. Vikas Kumar (IPS:2017), SP, Balrampur, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Jhansi.
7. Krishna Kumar (IPS:2018), SP, Sambhalpur, has been transferred and posted as SP, Bijnor.
8. Vikas Chandra Tripathi (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Barabanki, has been transferred and posted as SP, Sambhal.
9. Martand Prakash Singh (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Hardoi, has been transferred and posted as SP, Balrampur.
