Senior IAS officer Srivatsa Krishna (IAS:1994:KN), Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, National Commission for Minorities (NCM).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (May 29, 2026), the competent authority has approved the arrangement upon the superannuation of Alka Upadhyaya (IAS:1990:MP) on May 31, 2026.
The order stated that Srivatsa Krishna will hold the additional charge until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
