The Maharashtra Government on Wednesday transferred Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh (IPS:1988:MH) from the post and appointed him as Director General (DG) of Home Guards.
Senior IPS officer Hemant Nagrale (IPS:1987:MH) has been appointed as the next Mumbai Police Chief. Presently, he is serving as Maharashtra’s acting Director General.
The high-profile transfer has come amidst the probe into the Mukesh Ambani Antilia bomb scare case, in which Mumbai Police API Sachin Waze has been arrested.
