The Union government on Sunday (28.08.2022) notified appointment of nine Judicial Officers as Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court. They have been appointed for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.
Their names are ;

- Partha Sarathi Sen
- Prasenjit Biswas
- Uday Kumar
- Ajay Kumar Gupta
- Supratim Bhattacharya
- Parth Sarthi Chatterjee
- Apurba Sinha Ray
- Md. Shabbar Rashidi
The Supreme Court collegium on July 25 approved the proposal to elevate nine Judicial Officers as Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court and sent the recommendations to the President.
