The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Kavita Rakesh Satvi for appointment as Director (Finance), Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.
The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on Friday (June 20, 2026). Satvi is currently serving as General Manager and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Kamarajar Port Limited.
Following the recommendation, her name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.
Notably, the post of Director (Finance) fell vacant on May 31, 2026, following the retirement of incumbent R M Bhadang, who had been serving in the position since January 28, 2021.
A total of five candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel. They were;
- Satya Bhushan Samanta, Group General Manager Vertical Head and Group General Manager(Finance), Rites Limited
- Kamal Nath Thakur, Additional General Manager-Internal Audit, NTPC Limited
- Shyamalendu Bhusan Das, General Manager, The Shipping Corporation Of India Limited
- Sanjay Bharti, Chief General Manager Director Finance and Commercial, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited
- Kavita Rakesh Satvi, General Manager and CFO, Kamarajar Port Limited
