The central deputation tenure of Sonal V Misra (IPS:2000:TN), serving as Inspector General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been extended by one year.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (December 31, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend Misra’s deputation beyond December 20, 2025. The extension will be for a period of one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
