ACC effects major Additional Secretary level reshuffle

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Saturday (19.11.2022) effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the level of Additional Secretary, including one in the rank of Special Secretary (GoI).

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Ms. Sumita Dawra (IAS:1991:AP), Special Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been appointed as Special Secretary (Logistics), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
2. Vibhu Nayar (IAS:1990:TN), Executive Director, India Tade Promotion Organisation, Department of Commerce has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of External Affairs.
3. Shantmanu (IAS:1991:AGMUT), Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.
4. Sanjay Rastogi (IAS:1991:OR), Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
5. Sriram Taranikanti (IAS:1992:TR), Additional Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Home Affairs.
6. Khilli Ram Meena (IAS:1993:AGMUT) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Rural Development. Presently, he is serving in the cadre.
7. Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TA&FS:93), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
8. Rajesh Agarwal (IAS:1994:MN), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
9. Rohit Kansai (IAS:1995:AGMUT), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
10. Ms. Dipti Mohil Chawla (IDAS:1995), Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence.
11. T Natarajan (IAS:1996:GJ), Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.
12. Peeyush Kumar (IAS:1997:AP), Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
13. Ms. Kamini Chauhan Ratan (IAS:1997:UP), Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
14. Pramod Kumar Meherda (IAS:1997:OR), Managing Director, National Food Security Mission, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

The ACC has also cleared in-situ upgradation of 12 officers to the level of Additional Secretary in their respective ministries/departments presently serving in the rank of Joint Secretary.

3. Sanjiv Narain Mathur (IRAS:1992) as Additional Secretary, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public
   Grievances and Pensions.
4. Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra (IAS:1997:OR), Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination, National Recruitment Agency, Department of
   Personnel & Training in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
5. Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS:1997:AGMUT), Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training.
6. Ashish Vachhani (IAS:1997:TN), Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
7. Rakesh Gupta (IAS:1997:TN) as Additional Secretary, President’s Secretariat.
