New Delhi: Chhattisgarh cadre IAS officer S Jayavardhan (IAS:2014:CG) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of four years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (October 14, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for four years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Presently, Jayavardhan is serving as Director of Treasuries and Accounts in Chhattisgarh, with additional charge of Director of Pension.
