Senior IPS officer A S Rajan (IPS:1987:BH) has been appointed as the Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) at Hyderabad. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (27.06.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Rajan as Director of SVPNPA, Hyderabad from the date of joining the post and up to February 28, 2023, the date of his retirement or till further orders, whichever takes place earlier. At present, he was posted as the Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
