New Delhi: Anurag Goyal (IRS-IT:1994), Senior Advisor, Public Finance and Policy Analysis Division at NITI Aayog, has been assigned the additional charge of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (November 6, 2026), the competent authority has approved the assignment of the additional charge to Goyal.

With this, Goyal becomes the first MD & CEO of ITLA, a newly established body approved by the Union Cabinet on October 6, 2026, as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under the Cabinet Secretariat.

ITLA has been envisaged as a national-level apex institution for multi-modal transport and logistics planning, research and project monitoring. It is intended to bring greater coordination among transport-related sectors, including roads, railways, aviation and ports, and address fragmented planning across these areas.
