The West Bengal government effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle ahead of the Durga Puja, transferring a few IAS officers to new postings. Senior IAS officer Mukta Arya (IAS:2008:WB) has been appointed the new Chairman and Managing Director of West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd (WBPDCL).
Similarly, Shashank Shetti (IAS:2010:WB) has been given the responsibility of Secretary of the Sunderbans Affairs Department, while his batchmate Arvind Kumar Mina has been named the new Secretary of the Tribal Development Department.
Meanwhile, another senior officer C Murugan (IAS:2007:WB), currently serving as Deputy Chairman of the Tea Board, has been deputed to the central govt’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways as Joint Secretary.
