MHA appoints two IPS officers as Deputy Director Generals in NCB

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed two IPS officers in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as Deputy Director Generals on deputation for a period of five years. Their appointments have been made in Level-14 of the Pay Matrix.

Assam-Meghalaya cadre IPS officer Vivek Raj Singh (IPS:2006:AM) has been appointed as Deputy Director General in the NCB. He is currently serving in his parent cadre as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Training & Armed Police (T&AP), Assam Police.

Similarly, Nagaland cadre IPS officer Vikram M Khalate (IPS:2008:NL) has also been appointed as Deputy Director General in the NCB. Before his central deputation, Khalate was serving as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Crime Investigation Department (CID), Nagaland.

Their appointments will take effect from the date of assumption of charge of the posts or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
