Senior IPS officer Sujeet Pandey (IPS:1994:UP), currently serving as Director General, Fire Services in the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (July 6, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment to the post from the date of assumption of charge up to July 31, 2028, the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Pandey will succeed Amit Garg (IPS:1993:AP), who has been appointed as Director, National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
Notably, Amit Garg had been serving as the regular Director of SVPNPA since September 21, 2024. Prior to his regular appointment, he held the post on additional charge from February 28, 2023, following the retirement of A Seem Rajan (IPS:1987:BH).
