The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited online applications for the post of Chairman of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), with the application window remaining open till 3 PM on July 21, 2026.
According to a vacancy notification issued by PESB on Tuesday (June 30, 2026), eligible candidates can submit their applications through the PESB online portal. Applications of all candidates, except those employed in private sector companies, must be forwarded to PESB by the respective nodal officer, Head of Organisation, competent authority, administrative secretary or cadre controlling authority by 5 PM on July 30, 2026.
The post of ONGC Chairman is scheduled to fall vacant on December 7, 2026, following the completion of the extended tenure of the incumbent, Arun Kumar Singh.
Arun Kumar Singh assumed charge as Chairman of ONGC on December 7, 2022, and has been leading the country’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company since then.
