The Centre on Monday (May 18, 2026) approved the appointment of two officers as Deputy Secretaries in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Delhi, under the central staffing scheme.
Preetinder Singh Padda (IP&TA&FS:2013), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Telecommunication, has been appointed to the post for a tenure of four years. His appointment will be effective from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rajesh Panwar (IES:2012), recommended for central deputation by the Department of Economic Affairs, has also been appointed as Deputy Secretary in DPIIT for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
