IAS officer Mrunmai Shashank Joshi (IAS:2012:KL), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs on lateral shift basis.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (June 12, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB) for her appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme.
She will serve in the Department of Economic Affairs for a tenure up to March 21, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Notably, Joshi joined the Cabinet Secretariat as Deputy Secretary on March 21, 2023 for a four-year tenure.
