New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS officer Rakesh Kumar Prajapati (IAS:2012:HP) has been appointed as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (July 22, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Prajapati is presently serving as Director, Tourism & Civil Aviation in the Himachal Pradesh government. He will assume his new assignment after being relieved by the state government.
