Madhya Pradesh transfers 62 IPS officers in major police reshuffle

The Madhya Pradesh government on Saturday carried out a major reshuffle in the police administration, transferring and reassigning as many as 62 IPS officers.

The reshuffle covers a wide range of ranks, from Special Director General of Police to Assistant Superintendent of Police.

As part of the exercise, new responsibilities have been assigned to Superintendents of Police (SPs) in several districts, as well as to officers serving as Police Commissioners in major cities.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Ravi Kumar Gupta (IPS:1993:MP), Special DG, Rail, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as Special DG, Training with additional charge of Director, MP Police Academy, Bhauri Bhopal.
2. Rajababu Singh (IPS:1994:MP), Additional DG, Training, PHQ, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as Additional DG, Rail.
3. DP Gupta (IPS:1994:MP), Additional DG, Grievances & Human Rights, PHQ, Bhopal and Community Policing, RTI, Public Service Guarantee, Cooperative Fraud, Police Manuals, R&D and Police Reform, PHQ, Bhopal, has been relieved from the charge of Additional DG, Grievances & Human Rights, PHQ, Bhopal.
4. Solomon Yash Kumar Minz (IPS:1997:MP), Additional DG, PHQ, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as
   Additional DG, Grievances & Human Rights & Additional DG, Accounts/Welfare, Bhopal.
5. Amit Singh (IPS:2009:MP), Additional Police Commissioner, Law & Order, Indore, has been transferred and posted as DIG, SAF, Indore Range.
6. Awadesh Kumar Goswami (IPS:2009:MP), Additional Police Commissioner, Law & Order, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as DIG, PHQ, Bhopal.
7. Amit Sanghi (IPS:2009:MP), DIG, Gwalior Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Homeguard/SDERF, Bhopal.
