IRS officer Vivek Rathee appointed Deputy Secretary in MoSPI

New Delhi: IRS officer Vivek Rathee (IRS-C&IT:2016), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Delhi, for a period of four years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (October 21, 2026), his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme will be for four years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to this assignment, Rathee was serving as Joint Director at the National Targeting Centre–Passenger (NCTC-Pax) under the Directorate General of Analytics and Risk Management (DG-ARM).
