Tenure of Three Officers in PMO Extended

ACC extends deputation of Ashish Vachhani, Parthiban P and Amit Agrahari in PMO for up to two years.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of three officers serving in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (May 2, 2026), the tenure of Ashish Vachhani (IAS:1997:TN), serving as Additional Secretary in the PMO, has been extended by two years beyond May 23, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The ACC has also approved a one-year extension in the tenure of Parthiban P (IAS:2011:AGMUT), who is serving as Director in the PMO. His tenure has been extended beyond June 25, 2026, or until further orders.

Similarly, the tenure of Amrit Agrahari (IRS-IT:2011), also serving as Director in the PMO, has been extended by one year beyond July 9, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
