ACC clears empanelment of 16 IRS officers as Principal Chief Commissioners/DGs

In a major development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of sixteen senior officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) for promotion to the grade of Principal Chief Commissioner/Principal Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxes, the apex level in the service. The empanelment covers the Supplementary Panel for 2025 as well as the Regular Panel for 2026.

Officers empanelled under the Supplementary Panel (2025):

3. Shrawan Kumar
4. L Satya Sriniwas
5. Arti A. Srinivas
6. Charul Baranwal

Officers empanelled under the Regular Panel (2026):

1. M. Subramaniam
2. Sanjay Rathi
3. Nitish Kumar Sinha
4. Shailendra Kumar Sinha
5. Abhai Kumar Srivastav

Officers empanelled under the Extended Panel (2026):

The Extended Panel has also been cleared for operation in case officers empanelled in the main or extended lists retire during 2026. Those included are:

3. Pranesh Pathak
4. Rajendra Singh
