Sharad Agarwal gets one-year extension as JD, CBI

The deputation tenure of Sharad Agarwal (IPS:1997:AGMUT) as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been extended for one year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (12.07.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the tenure of Agarwal for a period of one year beyond 31.05.2022 (7 years total) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
